Below are notes and photos from the September 30, 2003 job meeting and visit.

After the meeting I surveyed the job site. The photos show two differed aspects of the project. The first, the actual space where the Executive Offices will be - this area is now being used for construction staging; the second, shots of the the public areas adjacent to the Offices, and the main hallways and Entry. These areas, in the beginning finish phase at the time, constitute the surround of the Executive Offices - and, while the Offices are functionally different than the rest and will be treated so - there has to be a logistical and aesthetic fit between the two.

The notations accompanying the photos reflect issues and design decisions that I made as a consequence of the meeting and the site visit. These were reflected in plan version 9.2 [link] distributed October xx and 9.5 distributed October 28, 2003 [link].

Cable Trays - 9'-8" above slab.
Cable Trays - 9'-8" above slab. Where covered by the the standard height hung ceiling, they can remain as is. The hung ceiling panels to be Baltic birch supplied by AI - the “Ts” to be painted the same color as all structural and mechanical elements above the 9 foot trim line [link]. The steel stud construction to the left is to be removed. Entry #2 in background.
Large beam - 13'-5" above slab at Column #5. Below it the existing cable tray entry from the Food Court area. This tray will have to be raised until it is in the area that will have the standard height hung ceiling. See notation [link].
Large beam at column #4 and small beam which is 13'-11" from bottom to slab. The Cable trays at this point can be reconfigured to fit the requirements of the layout. In fact, mostly eliminated as the feeds to the PODs can be accomplished in the raised floor area surrounding them [link]. The concrete work is very good and can be left exposed and painted.

This duct, coming out of vertical air supply shaft, turning and proceeding down the hallway toward the Chapel requires that the 9 foot ceiling standard be used over a portion of the Executive Office space. This area is shown (shaded) in Plan version 9,2 [link].
